Job summary

Damar Services, Inc. is hiring Direct Support Professionals to care for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in our Damar Villages in Indiana.

You will supervise clients, assist with daily living, manage crises, and help clients reach their goals in a mission-driven environment. Starting pay is $15.25/hour with benefits including insurance, tuition assistance up to $3,000/year, a 401(k), life and disability coverage, paid holidays and PTO.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old to work in the Community Living and Support Services program.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Indiana driver's license and a good driving record.
• Be free of felony convictions or disqualifying charges.
• Must successfully complete a pre-employment physical.
• Must pass background screening as required by Damar.

Damar is looking for passionate Direct Support Professionals to perform a variety of tasks related to the care of Adult clients living in our Damar Villages. Some duties include client supervision and care, crisis management, promoting appropriate social behaviors, and supporting clients in achieving their maximum potential.

We are hiring for the following shifts...

• Weekend (7:00 am - 11:00 pm / Sat & Sun) *Can pick up an optional 8-hour shift Monday-Friday

What You Need To Be Considered

• Be at least 18 to work in our Community Living and Support Services program
• Be able to provide formal proof of a high school diploma or GED
• Possess a valid Indiana driver’s license and good driving record
• Be clear of any felony convictions, substantiated charges of neglect or other disqualifying criminal convictions
• Successfully complete a pre-employment physical
• Favorably meet and maintain Damar’s background screening
