Phoenix Home Care and Hospice is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes and communities near Independence, MO. As a DSP, you will help with daily living activities, provide companionship, support new skills, and enable meaningful experiences while promoting independence.

We offer weekly direct deposit, flexible scheduling, paid training, and comprehensive medical plans to eligible staff.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old and eligible to work in the U.S.
• Minimum 1 year DSP experience
• High school diploma or GED

As a DSP, you will play an important role in helping clients reach their goals, build new skills, and enjoy meaningful experiences while providing compassionate support with daily living activities.

Your Day Might Include:

• Assisting with personal care and hygiene
• Helping with meal preparation and cleanup
• Supporting light housekeeping and laundry

• Accompanying individuals to appointments, errands, or community activities

What You'll Need:

• At least 18 years of age
• Minimum 1 year related DSP experience
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and current auto insurance
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to pass background and drug screenings
• Willingness to obtain CPR and First Aid training prior to your first shift
• Level 1 Med Aide Certification preferred
• Availability for at least one weekend per month
