Phoenix Home Care and Hospice is hiring Direct Support Professionals to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes and communities. The role emphasizes compassionate daily living support and helping clients reach personal goals.

You will work in North Kansas City, MO with a schedule Monday through Friday 10 am to 5 pm, and receive weekly direct deposit. We offer paid training, flexible scheduling, and multiple medical plans including spousal coverage for

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Minimum 1 year related DSP experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and current auto insurance.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to pass background and drug screenings.
• Willingness to obtain CPR and First Aid training prior to your first shift.
• Level 1 med aide certification preferred.
• Availability for at least one weekend per month.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with personal care and hygiene.
• Helping with meal preparation and cleanup.
• Supporting light housekeeping and laundry.
• Offering companionship and encouragement.
• Accompanying individuals to appointments, errands, or community activities.
