Job summary

Compass is seeking Life Guides to help adults with disabilities live meaningful, independent lives. You will provide one-on-one support in clients' homes and communities, assist with errands, appointments and daily tasks, and advocate during medical visits.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable vehicle.
• Comfortable supporting medical needs and advocating for others.

• Willing to pass a background check (Compass covers cost).
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred or training provided.

What You’ll Do

• Provide one‑on‑one support to clients in their homes and communities, including:


• Assistance with errands, appointments, and daily tasks


• Advocacy and support at medical appointments


• Help with medication reminders and health‑related coordination


• Participation in community activities and building life skills

Your presence helps clients feel confident, supported, and truly seen—especially when navigating health‑care systems or major life decisions.

Pay ranges reflect premium hours (8 a.m.–12 a.m.). Overnight hours (12 a.m.–8 a.m.) are paid at standard rate.
