Job summary

Integrated Life Choices (ILC) is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in homes and community settings. You will support people in achieving meaningful goals and promoting inclusion and personal growth.

As a DSP, you will empower daily living, maintain safe environments, and document each shift. A high school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license are required, and a reliable vehicle is essential for daily

• Background checks including Nebraska Child/Adult Protective Services Central Registry and criminal background checks completed.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals in understanding and exercising their rights.
• Encourage independent living and self-advocacy.
• Provide person-centered supports to meet people’s needs throughout their lives.
• Support and encourage positive interactions and participation in groups or activities.
• Provide transportation for those you support.
• Documentation at the end of each shift, including safety and progress notes.
• Assist with personal hygiene and medical-related needs, including medication administration.

As a DSP, you will be responsible for maintaining consistent engagement with the people you are supporting, whether they are at home or out in the community. You will be required to work independently, create safe environments, and provide accurate documentation for the support provided during every shift.
