Job summary

Hearten is seeking a compassionate Direct Support Professional to join the Day Program in Hamilton. You will support adults with developmental disabilities, implement behavioral strategies, and lead engaging activities to promote independence and community involvement.

The role runs Monday–Friday, 8am–4pm, with a focus on reliable, empathetic care and collaboration with the treatment team to ensure consistent support for participants.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to a group of individuals with developmental disabilities, focusing on behavioral support and engagement in daily activities
• Create and implement individualized support plans to promote independence and community inclusion
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with participants, promoting a supportive and inclusive environment

• Participate in transportation runs before and after program hours

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Direct Support Professional to join our team at the Hearten Day Program in Hamilton. As a DSP, you will play a vital role in supporting a group of individuals with developmental disabilities, providing behavioral support and engaging in fun and meaningful activities.
