Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior experience in direct support, caregiving, or human services preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
• Strong interpersonal skills with a patient, empathetic, and person-centered approach.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily living assistance including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration.
• Support individuals with disabilities in achieving personal goals and maintaining independence.
• Implement ISPs and document progress accurately.
• Transport and accompany clients to medical appointments, community activities, and recreational outings.
• Foster a safe, supportive, and positive residential environment.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, family members, and healthcare professionals.
• Respond appropriately to behavioral challenges using approved crisis intervention techniques.
