Focus Behavioral Health is looking for caring, reliable, and motivated individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals (DSPs). In this role, you’ll work one-on-one with adults with Autism and Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities, providing the support they need to build independence, work toward personal goals, and enjoy greater involvement in their communities.
As a DSP, you’ll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in someone’s everyday life. You’ll help individuals develop practical life skills, build relationships, participate in activities they enjoy, and work toward becoming as independent as possible.
Students and individuals pursuing careers in psychology, social work, education, nursing, healthcare, human services, or related fields are encouraged to apply. This position provides flexible scheduling, paid training, and hands‑on experience that can be valuable for both personal and professional growth.

Assist individuals with everyday activities such as household chores, meal preparation, personal independence, and community participation
Provide direct care and support with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
Help maintain the individual’s health, safety, dignity, and well‑being
Support individuals in working toward their personal goals and developing greater independence
Encourage participation in meaningful activities and community experiences
Establish positive, professional relationships while promoting respect, choice, dignity, and self‑determination
Must be 18 years of age or older
High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
Ability to successfully complete required criminal background clearances
Previous experience in human services, caregiving, or direct support is helpful, but not required
Dependable, compassionate, patient, and team‑oriented
Strong communication and organizational skills
Helping individuals stand, walk, transfer, or move safely through lifting, guiding, or other physical support when needed
Ability to lift 75 pounds or more at times
