Job summary

Help at Home in the United States is hiring Direct Support Professionals to provide in-home support to seniors and people with disabilities. You will work 1-on-1 with clients to promote independence and dignity in their own homes.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willing to obtain prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• In-Home Assistance– Help your clients with day-to-day activities like preparing meals, cleaning, dressing, grooming, laundry, monitoring vital signs, bathing, toileting, technology and other basic activities.
• Companionship– Join your clients in playing games, arts and crafts, and accompany them to events outside the home like appointments, grocery shopping and running errands.
• Community Building– Create a safe and positive living situation for your clients by communicating with the family and other staff about any concerns or challenges.

As a Direct Support Professional, you’ll work 1-on-1 with your clients inside their homes, and support them with the following types of activities:
