Job summary

Spectrum Community Services is hiring Direct Support Professionals to coordinate on-site care in AF/S CLS homes or private residences in Benton Harbor, MI. You will support individuals with physical, cognitive, or behavioral disabilities with daily living activities, personal care, health maintenance, and community integration.

Applicants should be 18+, have reliable references, a MI driver's license, and be able to pass a thorough background check. Training, including CPR/FA, is provided.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must provide two work references demonstrating good performance and attendance.
• Must have a valid Michigan Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
• Must have reliable and ongoing transportation.
• Successful completion of a comprehensive background check including fingerprinting, medical clearance (TB test, drug screen & physical exam), and MILTC screening

Responsibilities

• Coordinate on-site support for adults with disabilities in foster or CLS homes and private residences.
• Assist clients with cooking, cleaning, health, and personal care needs.
• Support community integration and daily living activities.
• Document observations and coordinate with care teams.

About the role

Spectrum Community Services is hiring compassionate, honest, energetic Direct Support Professionals. This position is responsible for on-site coordination of active treatment in Adult Foster Care (AFS) or Community Living Services (CLS) homes or private residences, serving individuals with physical, cognitive, and/or behavioral disabilities. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, helping clients with cooking, cleaning, community integration, health, and personal care.

Experience working with people with disabilities (preferred but not required). We provide all the necessary training, including CPR/FA certification.
