Job summary

Volunteers of America Southeast, Inc. is hiring a Direct Support Professional in Ozark, AL. This entry-level, part-time role supports individuals to achieve their independence and requires a high school diploma or GED along with a valid Alabama driver’s license. Training in First Aid, CPR, CPI may be provided.

The DSP will guide, coach and encourage participants, performing daily tasks such as bathing, feeding, grooming, and documentation, while ensuring dignity and respect in all interactions.

Qualifications

• The Direct Support Professional is responsible for guiding, coaching and encouraging individuals to achieve their maximum level of independence.
• The position requires a person eighteen (18) years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• The DSP must also be able to pass all required training courses including but not limited to First Aid, CPR, and CPI, and VOASE Policies & Procedures.
