Job summary

The Employee Connect in Saint Albans, ME is seeking Direct Support Professionals to assist adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in residential, community, and day programs. This role offers full-time, part-time, and per diem schedules, with days, evenings, and weekends available.

No prior experience required; paid training and certification support are provided, plus ongoing development opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
• Ability to complete required state DSP training and certifications.
• Current CPR and First Aid or willingness to obtain through paid training.
• Pass a background check and health screening.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with daily living skills and routines.
• Follow individual support plans and help achieve personal goals.
• Assist with medication administration after certification.
• Provide transportation to appointments, work, and activities.
• Encourage community participation and independence.
• Document daily progress and incidents accurately and on time.
• Communicate professionally with families and team members.
• Participate in team meetings, trainings, and planning for the people supported.
