Job summary

Avancer Homes LLC is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to join the Persimmon CILA home in Genoa, Illinois. Starting pay up to 16.00–25.00 hourly based on experience; a $1000 sign-on bonus is offered.

Full time and part time positions are available, with all shifts open. DSPs provide personal care, assist with daily living activities, and help promote independence for individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities.

Qualifications

• DSP certified or the ability to become certified through our paid training.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Transportation to your shifts.
• Lift 50 lbs.
• Pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with personal care needs – all ADL’s.
• Assist with household tasks, meal preparation, cooking and cleaning; maintain a safe and healthy home environment that encourages learning.
• Monitor individuals and engage in redirection.
• Document individual’s activities, concerns and progress notes as required.
• Participate in and out-of-home activities which may include driving company vehicles.
• Provide an Abuse and Neglect free environment at all times.
