Job summary

City of Virginia Beach is seeking a Part Time Direct Support Professional II to support adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities in a residential setting. You will implement ISP plans, assist with daily living activities, and ensure safety and well-being of participants.

Role requires evening and weekend availability, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver's license. Positions include benefits under city policies and opportunities for growth in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or GED and two years of experience working with ID/DD clients.
• Must have a current and valid driver's license.
• Must be available to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime when required.
• Alpha I Status indicates requirement to work during inclement weather.

Responsibilities

• Implement Person-Centered ISPs.
• Assist with meals, hygiene, and activities of daily living.
• Complete documentation and billing accurately and ethically.
• Ensure health and safety per ISPs.
• Administer medications as prescribed and assist with appointments.
• Support community integration and transport as needed.
• Attend mandatory meetings, supervisions, and trainings.
• Uphold participant rights and confidentiality.
