Zusammenfassung

The City of Virginia Beach Department of Human Services is seeking Direct Support Professional II’s (DSP) with 3+ years of experience working with adults with ID/ID/DD in an Intermediate Care Facility setting.

Qualified applicants will support residents at the Indian River Road ICF in Developmental Services, with a $2,500 hiring bonus. Evening, weekend, and overtime availability is required, and a valid driver’s license is essential.

Qualifikationen

• Requires High School Diploma or GED and two (2) years of experience working with Intellectually Disabled and/or Developmentally Disabled (ID/DD) clients or equivalent education/experience.
• Must have a current and valid driver’s license.
• Available to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime when required to meet operational needs.
• Alpha I Status: Positions may require working during inclement weather.

Aufgaben

• Maintain the health, safety, and well-being of all participants in the program.
• Administer medications as prescribed using the 5 Rights of administration.
• Assist with hygiene tasks including showering, bathing, toileting, and grooming.
• Utilize safety and medical equipment as directed by clinical staff.
• Assist with medical appointments scheduling and transportation as needed.
