Job summary
People Creating Success, Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional at our Oxnard adult residential facility. The role focuses on compassionate, person-centered support and helping residents with daily living activities while following care plans.
A valid driver’s license and CPR/First Aid certification are preferred and weekend availability is a plus. The position offers flexible shifts, with a starting hourly wage of $20.60 and a monthly cell phone stipend.
Qualifications
- Compassionate, person-centered approach required.
- Strong communication with residents and families.
- Ability to document progress and updates clearly.
Responsibilities
- Support participants with daily living skills including cleaning, cooking, and budget management.
- Follow care plans and assist participants in achieving personal goals.
- Encourage healthy habits, hobbies, and social activities.
- Help participants access and participate in community activities.
- Assist with personal care such as medication support, hygiene, and bathing (lifting/transferring may be required).
- Document shift notes and logs and collaborate with team to adjust plans.
