Job summary

Hearts & Minds Inc. in Valley Center, CA is seeking a Direct Support Professional for part-time, on-call shifts. The role supports adults with developmental disabilities in a home setting and involves driving residents in your vehicle, helping with daily living tasks, and monitoring health and safety.

A friendly, dependable candidate is required. Benefits include a $18.00-$20.00 hourly rate with a $200 hiring bonus after 90 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid CA driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and move up to 75 lbs.
• 6+ months of hands-on experience with persons with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with maintaining cleanliness of residence, including household chores, room cleaning and personal laundry.
• Report and document medical information as required.
• Supervise meal preparation and cleanup.
• Perform hourly bed checks and assist with medication management.
• Assist with personal hygiene and other duties as assigned by House Managers.
