Job summary

Vista Care in Pierre, SD is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a residential setting. You will help them build independence, navigate daily routines, and live fulfilling lives.

As a DSP – Complex Behavioral, you will implement Behavioral Support Plans, assist with daily living tasks, safely administer medications during training, and accompany clients on outings while maintaining thorough documentation in our EHR

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years old.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Background check and drug screening required.
Able to lift 50 lbs and assist individuals with mobility/transfers.
Flexible to work assigned shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Prior caregiving experience and a valid Driver's License are a plus, but not required!

Responsibilities

Assist with daily living tasks (meal prep, personal care, light housekeeping).
Implement Behavioral Support Plans (BSPs) and handle de-escalation with empathy.
Safely administer medications (training provided).
Accompany individuals on outings, community activities, and appointments.
Maintain complete daily documentation and log notes in our EHR system.
