Job summary

Abound Health is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in Annandale, NJ. Responsibilities include ADLs, community participation, and behavioral support to help clients live independently.

Starting pay is $23/hour non-acuity and $33/hour acuity with a $1,000 signing bonus paid in installments for 20+ hours/week.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to pass background checks

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships and support individuals in achieving personal goals
• Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation and hygiene
• Support community participation, employment, and social activities
• Use adaptive tools to aid learning and communication
• Encourage independence and help individuals develop new skills
• Monitor health and safety and maintain a supportive environment
• Complete documentation and maintain schedules
• Complete ongoing training and professional development
