Job summary

Abound Health is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with IDD in Linwood, NJ. You will assist with ADLs, community participation, and behavioral support while helping clients live independently.

If you are compassionate and reliable, this is meaningful work where you can make a real difference. Starting pay is $23/hour (non-acuity) or $33/hour (acuity) with a $1,000 signing bonus paid in installments when averaging 20+

Qualifications

• Provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with IDD.
• Assist with ADLs and behavioral support to help clients live independently.
• Willingness to undergo paid training and ongoing development.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships and support individuals in achieving personal goals
• Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, hygiene, and household tasks
• Support individuals in community participation, employment, and social activities
• Use adaptive tools to aid learning and facilitate communication
• Encourage independence and help individuals develop new skills
• Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment
• Communicate with Abound team members, families, and external parties (case managers, etc.) as needed
• Complete documentation and maintain schedules
• Complete ongoing training and professional development
