Job summary

Braverhood is hiring a DSP (Direct Support Professional) to support individuals in the home and community. We seek people passionate about helping children and young adults with developmental disabilities and medical/mental health challenges.

The DSP will foster positive environments, work with Case Supervisors on monthly goals, and document client progress daily. A BA is required; reliable transportation, a driver’s license, and US citizenship or work permit are needed.

Qualifications

Must demonstrate accountability and commitment.
BA degree required.
Experience with the special needs community, especially children/young adults.
Reliable transportation is required.
Driver's license and vehicle are required.
U.S. citizenship or work permit is necessary.
Online DSP training course will be completed after hiring.
Punctual attendance is essential.
Casual but respectful dress code.

Responsibilities

Foster a positive environment to help individuals achieve personal goals.
Collaborate with Case Supervisors on monthly goals and plans of action.
Document services rendered and client progress daily and monthly.
Provide support for individuals with developmental disabilities at home and in the community.
Attend mandatory staff meetings and training annually.
Submit all paperwork and monthly summaries on time.
Adhere to agency and OPWDD regulations.
