Job summary

A community support organization in California is seeking dedicated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide compassionate care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Qualifications

• Experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift, move, and assist individuals as needed.
• Must pass background check, health screening, and possess a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Document daily activities, progress notes, and incidents accurately and timely.
• Encourage individuals in achieving personal goals and independence.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment.
• Communicate effectively with individuals, families, and team members.
• Uphold the rights, dignity, and confidentiality of all individuals served.
• Assist individuals with personal care tasks such as dressing and toileting.
• Facilitate participation in community activities and social events.
• Administer medications and monitor health conditions as directed.
