Job summary

Love Help Care Family Support LLC is seeking a Direct Support Professional to join our Indianapolis-based team. You will provide compassionate, person-centered care to individuals with disabilities, supporting daily living, mobility, and community participation.

You will document progress, implement ISPs, and collaborate with families and supervisors. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is needed to support our clients' needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Previous experience as a DSP, caregiver, CNA, or in human services is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
• Strong interpersonal skills with a patient, empathetic, and person-centered approach.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and daily living support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD)
• Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, meal preparation, and household tasks
• Implement individualized support plans (ISPs) and document progress accurately
• Transport and accompany clients to medical appointments, community activities, and errands
• Encourage skill-building, independence, and community integration
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, family members, and care team members
• Respond appropriately to behavioral support needs and crisis situations
