Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior DSP/caregiver/Human services experience preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
• Background check and drug screening required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and daily living support to individuals with IDD
• Assist with personal hygiene, grooming, meals, and household tasks
• Implement ISPs and document progress accurately
• Transport and accompany clients to appointments and activities
• Encourage skill-building, independence, and community integration
• Communicate with supervisors, family, and care team
• Respond to behavioral support needs and crisis situations

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct care and daily living support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD)


• Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, meal preparation, and household tasks


• Implement individualized support plans (ISPs) and document progress accurately


• Transport and accompany clients to medical appointments, community activities, and errands


• Encourage skill-building, independence, and community integration


• Communicate effectively with supervisors, family members, and care team members


• Respond appropriately to behavioral support needs and crisis situations

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required


• Previous experience as a DSP, caregiver, CNA, or in human services preferred


• Valid driver\'s license and reliable transportation


• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening


• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)


• Strong interpersonal skills with a patient, empathetic, and person-centered approach


• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
