Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Eastern Territory is looking for a dedicated staff member in Glendale, New York to provide support in a residential environment. Responsibilities include maintaining safety and cleanliness, medication management, and facilitating daily living activities for residents.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a high school diploma (GED), and experience in human services. Certifications in AMAP, SCIP R, and CPR/First Aid are required.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required; Associate’s Degree preferred with a minimum of one year experience in Human Services.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; willingness to learn and use computer systems.
• Valid driver’s license required, must be able to drive a large vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provides and ensures a safe, clean, and normalized home-like environment.
• Develops and maintains A.D.L. and ILS plans for residents.
• Orders and manages residents’ medications according to doctors’ orders.
