The Arc of Centre County is hiring Full-Time Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and autism (IDD/A) stay involved and active in their communities. DSPs play an important role in helping individuals build greater independence and enjoy more meaningful lives, while forming positive, supportive relationships along the way.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license with agency vehicles provided for community outings.
• TB test and physical required.
• Able to lift 50 pounds and assist with physical supports.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals in developing daily living skills, social and communication abilities, and job readiness competencies.
• Assist with personal care and facilitate community engagement.
• Support individuals in achieving their personal goals.
• Help plan and participate in social, recreational, and community experiences.
