Job summary

The Arc of Centre County is hiring Full-Time Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and autism (IDD/A) in their homes and communities. This is a role in our In-Home & Community Supports (HCS) department.

DSPs play an important role in helping individuals build greater independence and enjoy more meaningful lives, while forming positive, supportive relationships along the way.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of age
• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license
• TB test and physical
• Able to lift 50 pounds and assist with physical supports
• Access to personal vehicle may be required

Responsibilities

• Help with everyday tasks (meals, routines, personal care)
• Support life skills and independence
• Spend time in the community (shopping, activities, appointments)
• Build real relationships and provide encouragement
• Create a safe, respectful environment
