Job summary

The Arc of Opportunity is seeking dedicated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a residential setting. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Acceptable CORI/Fingerprint background check.
• Personal vehicle available for work when required.
• Must meet all physical requirements of the position.
• Basic computer literacy required.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement Individual Support Plans (ISPs) based on assessments, objectives and goals.
• Assist individuals with activities of daily living and personal care needs.
• Advocate for individuals served and promote dignity, independence and community inclusion.
• Help individuals access community resources and opportunities for personal growth.
• Perform household and maintenance duties in residential programs (cleaning, laundry, meal prep, groceries, snow shoveling, groundskeeping).
• Coordinate with Residential Managers to ensure quality service delivery and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional conduct according to agency policies.
• Attend required trainings, meetings and certifications.
• Communicate effectively with individuals served, families, guardians, coworkers, partners and regulators.
• Safely transport individuals using agency vehicles when required.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
