Job summary

Daybreak Independent Services, Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional/Driver/AMAP for a Residential Group Home in Queens, NY. This full-time, non-exempt role supports individuals with developmental disabilities by implementing service plans and promoting independence.

A valid driver’s license is required, and weekend shifts are included. The position offers hourly pay of $18.00–$19.00 with comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, life insurance, retirement plan, and tuition

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years in human or health services preferred.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with people.
• Flexible, poised, tactful, and able to develop rapport across diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Implement Individual Service Plans and advocate for individuals.
• Help individuals develop functional independence in target skills.
• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
• Document progress and outcomes of services.
