Job summary

One Vision is expanding its Ames service area and seeking a Full‑Time Direct Support Professional (DSP) to assist individuals in daily living, health and safety needs, and community participation. You will work a 40-hour week, including weekends, with a scheduled on‑call rotation and ongoing documentation using electronic systems.

Initial onboarding and hands-on training occur in Clear Lake, Iowa, with lodging provided and mileage reimbursement for travel during training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to meet physical requirements and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to work weekends and participate in on-call rotation.
• Ability to travel to Clear Lake for onboarding and training.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, person-centered support with daily living activities.
• Promote independence and skill development while ensuring dignity.
• Utilize electronic systems to document services and progress.
• Respond to health, safety, and behavioral needs per support plans.
• Participate in scheduled on-call rotation and coordinate with teammates.
