KETCH in Wichita, KS is hiring Direct Support Caregivers for consistent full-time shifts. You will provide supports to groups of adults with developmental disabilities, including teaching independence, daily living skills, and health monitoring in group home or group day program settings.

This role requires a High school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Training is provided during a two-week orientation, with full-time benefits and opportunities for

Salary Range: $14.35 To $16.00 Hourly

Supports could include teaching people how to:

• Use community resources, understand their rights, and be safety aware
• Maintain living space, personal hygiene and balance in their home life & weekly schedules
• Learn assembly and production work skills, manage break times, and build co-worker relationships
• Plan & prepare meals, grocery shop, operate household appliances, and budget
• Prepare for and participate in leisure activities – Special Olympics, sports, dances, gatherings, etc.
• Manage their sensory needs and maintain their own structured environment

Positions require assisting individuals with hygiene/personal care. A comprehensive two-week, weekday, daytime orientation is provided and required (this is excellent paid training with certifications).

Shifts: Mon-Fri 8a-4p; Fri 3p-Midnight + Sat/Sun 8a-8p; Mon-Thur 3p-Midnight; 3rd shift - Tue-Fri 12:00a Midnight to 9a; or 3 rd shift - Sat 12:00a Midnight to 8a + Sat & Sun overnight 8p-8a.

Requirements for a Direct Support Caregiver:

• High school diploma or accredited GED
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record (less than four infractions/tickets)
• Dependable transportation & proof of auto insurance
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs or ¼ of own body weight, whichever is less
• Work experience or knowledge regarding the needs of individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities is beneficial, but not required
• Able to attend a day time training during the first weeks of employment
