Job summary

National General Holdings Corp., part of the Allstate family, is hiring a Direct Sales Agent Specialist to grow the customer base in local markets. You will generate new business, cross-sell to existing customers, and build lasting relationships in person and over the phone.

You’ll maintain a strong book of business, participate in community events, and collaborate with leadership on local marketing initiatives while staying current on products and underwriting guidelines.

Qualifications

• 0 - 2 years of experience
• P&C licensing (Preferred) or must attain required licensure within 90 days of joining the company.

Responsibilities

• Achieve sales goals through new business, cross-sell, and retention
• Build and maintain a consistent pipeline, including local lead generation and referrals
• Develop relationships within the community (e.g., dealerships, events, local partners) to support business growth
• Conduct outbound prospecting and follow-ups to convert opportunities into sales
• Partner with leadership to support sales and local marketing initiatives
• Stay informed on products, underwriting guidelines, and market competition
• Deliver results aligned with performance standards, compliance requirements, and customer experience expectations
