A dynamic agency, working with fast-growing DTC brands, is seeking a Direct-Response Creative Strategist. In this remote contractor role, you'll influence client performance by leading creative campaigns, analyzing ad performance, and collaborating with a high-performing team. Ideal candidates will have experience in direct-response marketing and a knack for turning insights into captivating content.
YOUR MISSION
To ideate, script, and lead creative campaigns that directly impact client performance. You’ll be the strategic mind behind the most successful videos, owning the full funnel of research, concepting, briefing, and analyzing results to optimize performance.

WHAT YOU’RE GETTING INTO
Research product positioning, customer avatars, offers, competitors, and reviews to extract winning angles and ideas
Script and brief performance-driven UGC and voiceover creatives tailored for Meta and TikTok
Develop creative strategies and testing plans mapped to funnel stages (TOF, MOF, BOF)
Create clear and structured creative briefs for editors, designers, and UGC creators
Lead and document creative ideation sprints, including regular Friday feedback loops to review data and optimize creative based on real results.
Analyze performance data (hook rate, CTR, CPA, thumb stop rate, etc.) and iterate top-performing creatives weekly
Collaborate directly with client strategists and media buyers to align creative with campaign outcomes
Prepare shotlists and guide content production with detailed documentation and direction
Attend client and internal team meetings, provide feedback to editors/designers, and track project progress in Asana
Use tools like Slack, Frame.io, Meta Ads Manager, Google Suite, and AI tools (ChatGPT, Midjourney, etc.) for ideation and execution
WHO YOU ARE
Experienced: Minimum of 1-2+ years in a creative strategy, direct-response marketing, or content-led performance role. Ideally within DTC, agency, or a fast-scaling eCom brand.
Data-Led: You understand ad performance metrics, know how to analyze them, and translate learnings into creative decisions.
Creative & Structured: You think in hooks and story arcs, but also build clean, clear briefs and systems for editors to follow.
Insight-Driven: You have a strong instinct for what makes people click. You can pull angles from customer reviews, Reddit threads, or competitor ads in minutes.
AI Experience: Fluent in using AI tools like ChatGPT, Midjourney, Claude, and others for concepting, research, and ideation. You understand how to prompt for script variants, hooks, and visual references, and you use AI to boost speed and creativity.
Excellent Communicator: You’re fluent in English (written and spoken) and can deliver your vision clearly and convincingly.
Team-First: You collaborate well, give feedback, and thrive in a high-performance environment where everyone contributes.
