Job summary

GBMC HealthCare seeks a registered nurse to provide direct patient care under general supervision. The role requires an Associate Degree in Nursing and active Maryland RN licensure, with CPR certification.

You will use nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, coordinate with a multidisciplinary team, and contribute to teaching and quality improvement. This is a full-time on-site position in Towson, MD.

Qualifications

• RN license in Maryland (current registration).
• Associate Degree in Nursing required.
• CPR (Healthcare Provider) certification current.
• Additional certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP) required upon hire.
• 1 year of Registered Nurse experience required.
• Proficient in nursing care planning, assessment and care evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes Nursing Process to assess patient data and formulate diagnoses.
• Promotes and updates a written nursing plan of care.
• Coordinates patient, family and health team in planning care.
• Administers medications, IV therapy and treatments accurately.
• Communicates patient status through documentation and to the care team.
• Participates in teaching and quality improvement activities.
• May serve as charge RN or precept new staff when competent.
