Job summary

Stonehenge Capital in New Haven, CT is seeking a Director to lead its Direct Investing team and manage Connecticut-focused funds. The group provides senior term credit, subordinated debt, and equity investments to operating companies and invests capital through its second SBIC and state/federal economic development programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8–10 years of investment origination experience in lower middle market.
• Strong credit underwriting experience for non-bank transactions.
• Must have deep Connecticut business network and referral sources.
• Demonstrated ability to build enduring client relationships and discuss financing options.
• Bachelor’s or graduate degree in accounting, finance, economics, or related field.
• High ethics, integrity, and team-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Develop business for Stonehenge funds by originating senior stretch, mezzanine and equity investments in CT and the region.
• Represent Stonehenge in Connecticut with an existing referral network.
• Originate new investment opportunities through marketing to referrals.
• Collaborate with regulators to ensure compliance.
