Job summary

System One, Inc. is seeking a Wire Processing Technician in Salt Lake City, UT to operate the Komax Alpha 650 and ensure precise wire processing per drawings and specs. The role emphasizes quality control, changeovers, and documentation in a direct-hire, on-site setting.

Responsibilities include setup, loading reels and programs, monitoring performance, conducting first-piece inspections, and maintaining clean, safe work areas. Prior IPC/WHMA-A-620 experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1+ year manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read work instructions/technical drawings/wire lists.
• Basic mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting ability, and basic computer skills.
• Strong attention to detail and quality focus.
• Komax experience and/or IPC/WHMA-A-620 (or willingness to obtain) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate the Komax Alpha 650 wire processing machine, including changeovers.
• Load wire reels, terminals, applicators, and processing programs.
• Monitor performance, make adjustments, and troubleshoot minor faults (escalate as needed).
• Perform first-piece inspections and verify wire length/strip dimensions/crimp quality per specifications.
• Complete required quality documentation and production records.
• Perform routine cleaning and preventive maintenance; maintain a safe, organized work area and follow PPE/safety policies.
