Job summary

Homestead of Knoxville in Knoxville, IA is hiring full-time Direct Care Workers to support residents with daily living tasks across all shifts. The role involves providing direct care, supporting activities of daily living, and contributing to a warm, employee-friendly environment.

Responsibilities include medication assistance (Certified Medication Aide or completion of the 10-hour medication manager course required at hire), housekeeping and laundry support, mealtime service, and duties

Qualifications

• Certified Medication Aide or completion of the 10‑hour medication manager course is required upon hire.
• Direct care workers provide direct care to residents and support activities of daily living.
• Housekeeping and laundry duties may be required as part of the role.

As a direct care worker that handles medications, you will be required to provide direct care to facility residents, primarily for their activities of daily living. In addition, you will assist with housekeeping and laundry duties, mealtime service, and all other duties assigned by the Executive Director. Certified Medication Aide or completion of the 10 hr medication manager course is required upon hire.
