Seacrest Behavioral Health seeks caregivers (IDD Attendants) to provide companionship and support to individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities in their homes and communities.
You will assist with daily living activities, promote social skills, and help participants engage in community activities, ensuring safety and emotional well-being while enhancing overall quality of life.
Caregivers (IDD Attendants) provide companionship and support to individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities in their homes and communities.
Assist with daily activities such as cooking, cleaning, home chores, shopping, attending medical appointments, and engaging in recreational activities like crafts, games, or watching shows. Support participants in gaining social and adaptive skills, attending community events, and exploring local attractions like restaurants, museums, or festivals.
Must be 18+, able to lift up to 40 lbs. independently and 200 lbs. with assistance, possess a valid driver’s license and auto insurance, and obtain necessary clearances. Preferred qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, previous experience in direct care roles, and familiarity with individuals with disabilities.
Compassion, reliability, ability to work flexible hours, and strong communication skills. Personal caregiving experience with individuals with disabilities is advantageous.
