Ability Plus, Inc. is hiring Direct Care Staff for all shifts in Huntsville, Decatur, Gadsden, and Athens. This role provides personal care in a residential setting to individuals with intellectual disabilities, with emphasis on safety, documentation, and adherence to care plans.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid U.S. driver's license or Official State ID.
• Background check must be acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Follow HCBS guidelines and the PCP for individuals served.
• Maintain professional behavior consistent with API's culture and policies.
• Assist with daily living activities and monitor health and behavior.
• Provide direct supervision and remain alert at all times.
• Encourage healthy dietary choices and follow medical orders.
• Complete paperwork to meet API and regulatory requirements.
• Attend mandatory ongoing training within required timeframes.
• Report to work on time and follow attendance policies.
• Promote rights and dignity of individuals served.
