Job summary

Southeast Missouri Residential Services, a State of Missouri facility in Sikeston, MO, seeks a Support Care Assistant to provide one-on-one care for our consumers. You will assist with activities of daily living and participate in treatment plans to support residents' well-being.

Shifts available: 7:00pm and 7:00am with mandatory overtime as needed. Requires 1–2 years of relevant experience and ability to pass Level One Medication Aide certification within one month; background screening is

Qualifications

• Experience in direct client care with developmentally disabled populations is preferred.
• Ability to pass Level One Medication Aide certification within one month of assignment.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on, direct care to clients including observations, treatment, and monitoring.
• Assist with activities of daily living such as feeding, bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Develop and implement habilitation or treatment plans with supervision.
• Support client skills in self-help, play, education, and socialization.
• Provide basic health care such as checking vital signs and documenting changes.
• Record fluid intake/output and report condition changes.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment for care activities.
• Participate in structured treatment sessions in physical/occupational therapy and related areas.
• Comply with background checks and policy requirements.
