Job summary

The Developmental Disabilities - Northwest Ohio Developmental Center in Toledo, OH is seeking a Therapeutic Program Worker (TPW) to provide direct care and support to residents. Shifts are 2pm-10:20pm, part-time, with pay starting at $23.28 per hour and progression to $26.54 for first-shift staff, plus overtime opportunities.

The role involves assisting with activities of daily living, documenting care, and applying active treatment activities, with a comprehensive benefits package and tuition

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• STNA certification or listed on Ohio Nurse Aide Registry for some positions.
• Valid driver’s license required for transportation of residents.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with eating, bathing, toileting, personal hygiene, oral hygiene, dressing, grooming, communication, money management, etiquette and social skills.
• Implement active treatment activities such as gym, pavilion, activity room and pool.
• Assist with planning and shopping activities (e.g., shopping, vocational skills, hair appointments).
• Complete daily and monthly documentation including reporting unusual incidents or medication reactions.
