Job summary

Berkshire County Arc is seeking Direct Care Professionals on a per diem basis in Westfield, MA 01086. Base pay is $18.00 per hour, with shifts available as needed.

The role supports people in daily living activities—personal care, housekeeping, cooking, and attending appointments and recreational activities. You will help residents become more independent while maintaining accurate records and communicating with staff and families.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Minimum 1 year of Direct Care experience.
• Valid driver's license and insured vehicle required.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals in daily living including personal care and housekeeping.
• Prepare meals, accompany to appointments and activities.
• Support independence and help individuals meet personal goals.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate with staff, families and regulators.

Responsibilities: Direct Care Professionals assists individuals in all areas of daily living including personal care, housekeeping, cooking, and bringing to appointments and recreational activities. This position works closely with individuals to help them to become as independent as possible and to meet their personal goals. Staff must maintain accurate and complete records, reports and data necessary to meet the requirements of BCArc and any certifying or regulatory agency. Effective communication with other staff, family members and Individuals is required.
