Job summary

Berkshire County Arc seeks a Direct Care professional in Lee, MA to support individuals in rehabilitation goals with daytime habilitation services. You will implement support strategies and assist with daily activities, including feeding and personal care, while promoting independence.

This is a full-time, hourly position (Mon-Fri 8:30-3:30, 35 hours/week) with benefits including health coverage and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• One year of experience with individuals with disabilities preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and insured vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Support and encourage individuals in meeting their rehabilitation goals through the implementation of support strategies in Day Habilitation service plans
• Participate in the training of individuals with developmental disabilities in rehabilitation goals
• Support and encourage individuals in meeting their habilitation goals
• Provide direct support to individuals including feeding, toileting and other ADL’s
• Lifting and positioning of people who use wheelchairs
