Job summary

Road to Responsibility in Randolph, MA is seeking compassionate Residential Support Staff to help individuals live more independently at home and in the community. This is hands-on, frontline care with a focus on daily living skills.

You’ll work with a dedicated team, follow individualized plans, assist with meals, hygiene, and medications where allowed, and document progress in timely fashion.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and the internet.

Responsibilities

  • Support individuals with daily living skills such as cooking, hygiene, and routines.
  • Provide hands-on personal care and mobility assistance as needed.
  • Assist with and attend medical appointments and community activities.
  • Implement individualized support and behavioral plans.
  • Administer medications in accordance with established procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming home environment.
  • Provide transportation as required.
  • Complete documentation and progress reports.
  • Collaborate with team members, families, and care providers.
  • Serve as a positive role model and advocate for those you support.

What You'll Do:

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and the internet.
  • Successful completion and maintenance of all state and agency mandated trainings, including medication administration.
  • Must be willing to authorize a Criminal History Background Check (CORI) and release of information concerning allegations from Disabled Persons Protection Commission (DPPC), Department of Developmental Services (DDS), and other agencies.
  • Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.
LANGUAGE SKILLS

Must be fluent in English and have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate effectively with individuals under supervision, employees of the organization, families, and members of the community.
