Job summary

Lutheran Services Florida in Largo, FL is seeking a Family Support Services Specialist to assist children and families through transportation, foster parent support, and case management tasks. This direct care role requires patience, reliability, and strong communication, with an emphasis on community outreach and teamwork within a multidisciplinary program.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years in community service preferred.
• Certified First Aid/CPR.
• Ability to transport clients and use agency vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Transport client children to program placements, supervised visits, medical and dental appointments.
• Maintain weekly Transportation Request form.
• Track agency vehicle mileage, service, usage.
• Perform placement follow-up contacts with assigned foster homes.
• Visit all assigned foster homes quarterly for information and support.
• Prepare required reports and documentation per supervisor.
• Participate in community outreach programs and recruitment events.
• Attend and participate in staff trainings and supervision sessions.
