Job summary

F & M Plastics, Inc. in Kentucky seeks a Plastic Dip Mold Set-Up Technician to oversee full setup, operation, and monitoring of plastic dip-molding equipment, ensuring quality and productivity.

Responsibilities include setting up equipment, troubleshooting molds, reading blueprints, taking part measurements with calipers, documenting production data, training new staff, and supporting safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience reading blueprints, production schedules, and technical instructions.
• Competent with calipers, gauges, and basic math (decimals and measurements).
• Experience with ERP system entry and mechanical setup adjustments.

Responsibilities

• Set up plastic dip-molding equipment.
• Troubleshoot molds, racks, ovens, airflow, and equipment performance.
• Conduct part measurements using calipers and other devices to maintain quality.
• Identify and report nonconforming product, defects, or equipment malfunctions.
• Read, understand, and adhere to process specifications.
• Complete production and quality documentation accurately and on time; ensure materials, tools, labels, and finished product are properly staged.
• Provide on-the-job training and support to new employees while covering for others to maintain production flow.
• Support safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and 5S in a clean, safe work environment.
