Job summary

The Roman Catholic Diocese of Charlotte seeks a Project Manager to oversee diocesan real estate projects, coordinating with pastors, principals, and administrators from concept to completion. This role reports to the director of the Construction & Real Estate Office and emphasizes thorough planning, contract processing, and cross‑office collaboration.

Responsibilities include evaluating transactions, coordinating with brokers and appraisers, and supporting the Real Estate & Facilities Committee

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
• NC broker licensure preferred but not required.
• Minimum 5+ years related experience.
• Experience working on school and church real estate projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary contact and advisor for parishes or other entities engaged in the Canon 1281 Title II Process.
• Serve as the liaison between the Construction & Real Estate Office and the Chancery, Legal, and Finance Offices for contract approvals.
• Deliver real estate projects originating with Tier I entities, including acquisitions and dispositions by MACS and Central Administration.
• Prepare analyses to evaluate real estate transactions to assist decision-makers.
• Establish relationships with brokers, appraisers, and other real estate professionals to evaluate proposed transactions.
• Develop a diocesan real estate strategy and procedures for buy/hold/sell analyses and long‑term planning.
• Assist the director in implementing the diocesan real estate strategy once adopted.
