Job summary

Qualifications

• 8th grade education; ability to count and read warning signs/labels and communicate effectively.
• Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds.
• Upon completion of the probationary period, must successfully pass specialized, title specific training administered by department.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe environment in a food service operation serving students, staff and guests; operate and set up dishwashing equipment.
• Clean dish return systems and area; dispose of all trash and food waste; stock and/or supplies dispenser equipment and food items.
• Clean kitchen equipment; ensure refrigerators are clean and in accordance with prescribed standards; maintain floor cleanliness by sweeping and mopping.
• Wash windows and light fixtures; clean and maintain kitchen and serving equipment.
