Job summary

Chartwells K-12 in Harvard, IL is seeking a Food Unit Lead for a full-time shift from 6:00 am to 2:00 pm at 401 North Division Street, Harvard, IL 60033. The role coordinates the work of food-service staff to ensure a quality dining experience for customers and visitors.

Applicants should have prior food service and supervisory experience. The position offers a pay rate of $17.00 per hour, with an internal employee referral bonus available.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates activities of other food-service employees to create an enjoyable dining experience for customers, staff and visitors.
• Oversees and participates in the preparation and service of food and beverage items in accordance with company standards for presentation, sanitation, safety and portion control.
• Ensures timely, efficient meal service; supervises serving of meals.
• Trains employees; assigns and coordinates work of employees to promote efficiency and excellence in food and service.
• Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules and expedites workflow.
• Uses proper systems for completion of required daily/weekly/monthly reports such as inventory-cash reports-production records, payroll and time-keeping.
