Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• At least 2 years of experience in food or culinary services (restaurants, catering, institutional, etc).
• Certified Dietary Manager certification preferred.
• Certified Food Manager certification required.
• Must read, write, speak English clearly and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily dining operations, including task delegation, team motivation, and coaching.
• Ensure the dining room is set up appropriately before meals and smoothly transitions through service, adjusting to operational challenges.
• Oversee food production planning, waste management, and record-keeping, ensuring hot service and timely dining experiences.
• Resolve issues for wait staff or residents promptly and monitor staff performance and demeanor.
• Maintain a welcoming dining room atmosphere and mentor staff towards continuous improvement.
• Assist with staffing matters including interviewing, hiring, scheduling, and coaching documentation.
• Enforce HACCP and health regulations, ensuring food safety and sanitation protocols.
• Interact with residents and staff during service to ensure satisfaction.
• Oversee production reports and inventory, ensuring timely requisitions.
• Support POS system usage and staff training for accurate transactions.
• Contribute to wellness culture and model healthy practices.
• Maintain compliance with policies and collaborate with other departments.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
